Thursday 23rd June 2011 Lots of rain and evening in Whitby

What an awful day for rain! after raining all night it continued until 2 PM in the afternoon. we drove to Scarborough during the morning to shop at Sainsbury's and have lunch there.
Because of the weather we stayed in and dozed till tea time, then went into Whitby for an evening walk, (Free parking on the harbour after 6 PM!)

There is always plenty of colour in the harbour.

For some reason the Abbey Steps are full of people (rather them than me!)

And the ladies rowing team are sowing their paces in the river

A lone coble heads howe with the days catch, not many are left these days!
