Saturday 4th June: St Abbs and Eyemouth

And a definite disappointment with the weather!
Who could have expected that yesterday's high of 28 Degrees C could be followed by a cloudy day with a high of 10 degrees C?
Good grief! and the forecast for the week is really more of the same!
Ah well, we shopped for some wool and a crochet pattern for Pat in Berwick, then drove to St Abbs for a walk round, a pleasure even when the weather isn't so good. Here is a panorame from the outer harbour wall
Even when the tide is out the harbour makes a good photo subject, there are usually divers loading their kit into boats, like these
And I rather like this view with the rather rickety landing stage in the foreground
there are colourful subjects everywhere
And with noon approaching we decided to pop along to Eyemouth to a little cafe on the dockside frequented by the fishermen, (so the prices are sensible and the food good!) where we had Gammon egg and chips ( very nice too) before a short walk along the front, as the wind had a very definite "edge" to it!
Then it was back to camp to our nice warm caravan!
