Monday 17th August:: A visit to Pili Palas

It rained several times during the night, and was overcast when we got up. We went first inland to Llangefni to shop, then down to Menai to take another shot of the old bridge, but once again it was cloudy and conditions were not as I wanted them.
Then the next port of call was "Pili Palas" Near Menai, the Tropical World, Butterlies, birds, reptiles and cafe, and we enjoyed the visit very much, especially the Butterflies which were glorious!
Pat and I took well over an hundred pictures between us of the Butterflies, then enjoyed lunch in the Cafe.

From here we took side roads across to Beaumaris, then on to the cost road, stopping to have a short walk to the beach, where I took this shot, looking towards the mainland,

then on to the toll road to the Penmon peninsula, where we parked and enjoyed an ice cream at the cafe.
Moving on we went through the winding roads to the steep hill that drops down to the very right hand end of Red Wharf Bay.
We stopped part way down the hill and I took three shots which formed into a panorama of the bay.

By now we were ready to return to camp for our usual afternoon rest.

after a light tea followed by the lst of the "Bara Brith" fruit cake we went for a short but very pleasant evening drive to Porth eilan and then Bull Bay.
