Saturday 7th May 2011 first full day, Hayle and Paradise Park

It rained quite havily during the night, and we woke to fog!we expected to have a wet day on our hands, and quite soon the weather improved and the sun came out, so we set off to Hayle to buy a Cornish Pasty, and to visit a bird sanctuary and park "Paradise Park"
Though expensive to enter there were some super birds, like this Buzzard
Two magnificent Snowy Owls occupied one enclosure, looking rather sleepy in the sunshine
At noon there was a flying display, starting with this huge horned owl, called Bruno. who was named before it was discovered she was female!

The star attraction of the flying display was Stanley, the bald headed eagle.
Here he is again, he is very large indeed!
After the flying display we walked through the gadens and aviaries and this extravagantly coloured duck was resting on the grass
After leaving the camp we drove north along the coast, stopping to take these photos at "North Cliff"
and looking back, this was the view
What wonderful scenery! it has been a really great day.
