Friday 6th May 2011, We arrive in Cornwall on our favourite site

We had the caravan packed and ready by 8:30 AM and made good time on the 225 mile journey down, the first section of the journey through Stroud (to get back to the M5)was a little heavy on roadworks and traffic, but after that the M5 and subsequently the A30 were remarkably free of delays with quite light traffic all the way, which meant we arrived on site at quarter past one, and the car had averaged 30.2 mpg, which is very good considering it had the full holiday load and the caravan on the hook!
As with the previous campsite, Three Ways was only about half full and we were able to choose the same pitch we were on last year.
Later in the afternoon we decided we needed some food shopping and drove to the local Morrisons Supermarket (via Marazion for the first view of St Michaels Mount)There was a low mist over the sea which made for low contrast conditions, but never mind!
looking back from the Long Rock road,The view of St Michaels mount was a little clearer

Also the beach was practically empty As you can see here.
This is Cornwall at its best, before it gets crowded! tomorrow we shall start getting around, but for now its time for a relaxing evening!
