Monday 8th August 2011: First day on Anglesey

We were on the road for just after 8:00 AM and had a good run through, though we did go through some rain over the pennines, arriving on site for 1:30 PM
After setting up we had a shopping session in Llangefni followed by an early tea and the by now traditional evening walk in Moelfre.
It was pleasing to see that nothing had changed very much with the usual boats on the beach
There was one new addition, a surprising number of small anchors in a pile!
We did the usual walk along to the lifeboat station, here is the view looking back down onto the beach
It was a glorious sunny evening, and looking out to sea I spotted a small dot of orange racing towards us, the inshore lifeboat was returning to base.
Beyond the lifeboat station the usual number of "fishermen" were out on the headland
Here they are again in close up
It had been a good first day, time for a lazy evening!
