Wednesday May 9th: Bodnant Gardens

A dull but mild morning, and the skies were clear over the mainland, so over the old Menai Bridge and along the coast road to Conway, then the Bodnant Garden. Obviously this early in the season the garden has a lot of growing to do, but it still had lots to look at too. This is the entrance.
The paths were already pleasanly lined with colourful flowers.
And Pat was busy with her camera.
The flowers framed distant views of the house
And there was a really striking pool.
The flowers were very photogenic
The pin Mill lacked the water liys that will appear later in the summer, though it was still attractive
And the same could be said of the lily pond..
It looked better viewed from the terrace
And there were splendid flowers growing in cracks in the walls
Finished off with Naked potatoes in the cafe: what could be nicer?
And we got back to the car before it rained! All images done with the Samsung Phone Camera
