12th September: First day at Ravenscar

We arrived on site at 1 PM and had a restful afternoon till an elderly couple turned up to find they were double booked with us! they are now parked quite close to us.

This is the house to which the site is attached, they do quite a big Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering holidays too

Opposite us is this remain of an old windmill, ideally placed on a very breezy corner!
After tea we went down into Whitby to visit the Aldi store to do some shopping, and on our return enjoyed a drive down the lane where Pat took these two images of the view down on to Robin Hoods Bay


And my evening stroll yielded this view south in the direction of Scarborough

It had been a good first day
