14th June and 25 Degrees in the shade!

The hottest day of the year and we were shopping in the city centre! fortunately there is a local park called the "Queens Gardens" that is quite scenic, with ponds and flower beds, quite a change from once being one of the town's docks.
When it ended it's career as a dock it was filled with Foundry Black sand from the company i worked for, as well as other rough fill, and over the years the sand has settled, giving a very
gentle sagging of the middle of the park that rather adds to it's appeal.
On a summer day it can get pretty busy, especiall with people having a picnic lunch.

Once we got home I spent some time in the garden we have both wild and cultured roses, very attractive, they are too!
