Another wet start, and some heavy showers en route, we arrived to find there is an enormous car park at the top of the hill above the village and it was not very busy.
We decided to walk down into Polperro and the first thing we came across was a Pub with an overhsot waterwheel on the end wall
The stream from the water wheel passed some lovely properties that were offering holiday lets
And there were some lovely begonias in these attractive settings by the stream
Passing through the many narrow streets we arrived at the harbour
Which ever way you look there are pictures here
This is the inner harbour
and looking back toward the village from the far end
I felt that the outer harbour would look better as a Panorama
We set off back into the village and stopped at a Bakery cum cafe for a cornish pasty and cream tea (which we shared) and a welcome cup of tea
on the way back we spotted a shop specialising in wooded cornish pixies, here is the shop
And some of the pixies
And this ancient house even had faces protruding from the walls!
We were very impressed with Polperro, even though we only saw a small part of it, we will be going back there methinks!
