Saturday August 1st : Berwick in the rain

Rain greeted us this morning so we waited a while and once it stopped drove down into Berwick and parked. it was market day and we enjoyed a wander round the various stalls and shops, but when we decided to have a walk on the walls it started to rain and we had to turn back.
I took a couple of shots from the town walls looking down the main street towards the town hall

and also across the Tweed to the road bridge,

With the weather being so changeable we went back to the caravan and pretty mush snoozed the afternoon away, though i di have a walk along the beach before tea, there were very few people about (as usual)

though there were some rather brave people in Kayaks "surfing" the large waves coming in past the end of the quay
