To our surprise we woke to the sound of heavy rain, so our original plan of going for a walk round the market in Berwick was out of the window!
Instead we went to the Morrison's Superstore on the ring road there, then doubled back for a splendid dinner at the Ocford Farm shop: I had Mince and Dumplings, Pat had a Salmon and Cheese bake: what was a bit over the top was the dessert: Meringues with a Rasberry Coulis on top and two scoops of vanilla ice cream... jumping cats!
We hurried back to the caravan for an afternoon rest, but since the rain stopped and it looked a bit brighter I couldn't resist driving through Seahouses toward Bamburgh and going for a walk on the beach, where I took the shots to make this panorama,
Found a pool in the rocks full of tadpoles,
Photographed the waves flowing over this flat rock,
And captured these flowers.
And finally did this panorama of the castle from three images
It was still dull at tea time, but then the sun finally put in an appearance, so off we went to Low Newton, (about three miles south of Camp) and a great walk on the beach
The first shot is looking down the hill to the village.
From the same spot using the 300mm Zoom on the Fuji
And finally a shot of Dunstanburgh Castle across the bay at the furthest point of our walk
